Sony music labels announced on Saturday that the singer-songwriter Kiro Akiyama had already been released after his arrest on November 23 for alleged assault and battery. The company added that Akiyama’s legal counsel reported, and later confirmed, that Akiyama would not face charges in the near future.

Sony music labels said there were discrepancies between the initial report of the incident and Akiyama’s later account, but it will work with him to “rebuild trust.”

Shortly after Saturday’s announcement, the 123rd my hero academia episode aired with Akiyama’s song “SKETCH” still playing as the current ending theme.
