Sony has the post-production department problem Gamepur

As reported on the NeoGAF, Sony seems to have solved a problem for the PlayStation Store (if you want to define it, it is possible) using this type of device. The digital store’s online store has a dedicated section for announcements, or the latest games released. The result is that this section had a few small games of poor quality.

One problem with digital stores, which make it easy for indie developers to publish their games, is that they’re inundated with low-level, low-cost games often aimed at attracting players looking for easy trophies. And there’s a video game that pokes fun at this practice coming to PlayStation. The PlayStation Store also suffered from this issue and the news section was run in chronological order, so it was pretty much useless for finding the best recently released games.

Now, as confirmed, via PlayStation 5, the section is sorted by download number, taking into account the latest games. This way you can immediately detect which are the best games (or at least the ones that have attracted the most attention) of recent years, without having to watch at the cinema and play the movie at the same time. Below is a sample shared example from NeoGAF showing the current roster in the US version.

In a hurry, NPR, news section, etc.

This solution may overshadow new, quality freelancers who fail to quickly become top sellers, but it’s a more efficient way to manage the News section than the previous one.

Tell us, do you think the PlayStation Store has sufficiently highlighted the best games available? Or the lesser known pearls?
