sony launched the Bravia X80K TV series in India. The new X80K series comes with GoogleTV. Sony has launched the new TVs in a range of sizes. These include: 189cm (75), 165cm (65), 140cm (55), 126cm (50) and 108cm (43). The Sony X80K series runs on the X1 4K HDR image processor. The TV supports Google and Google Assistant and Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa. The TV includes Chromecast built-in as well as Apple AirPlay support.
Price and availability
So far, Sony has announced the price of only KD-55X80K The TV is priced at Rs 94,990 and will go on sale from May 20, 2022. All models will be available at Sony centers, major retail stores. electronics and e-commerce websites in India.
Specifications of the Sony Bravia X80K smart TV series
The new X80K series comes with the company’s exclusive Triluminos Pro display which is said to detect color from saturation, hue and brightness to reproduce natural shades in detail. The smart TV models are powered by the Sony 4K HDR X1 processor.
The TVs come with HDMI 2.1 support, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Auto HDR Tone Mapping, and Auto Genre Picture Mode. For audio, the Sony Bravia X80K models offer two 10W speakers with support for Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS Digital Surround. The X80K comes with ambient optimization technology with a light sensor that automatically adjusts picture brightness to room conditions, boosting brightness in bright rooms and lowering it in dark rooms so viewers can get a perfect view.
With Auto Low Latency Mode in HDMI 2.1, the X80K recognizes when a console is connected and turned on and automatically switches to Low Latency Mode. Users can connect their TV with Bravia CAM. Sold separately, it can further enhance the viewing experience.
