Amrabat does not hide his desire to keep his big move a secret
His brother Nordin Amrabat – who previously played for Watford – has suggested some of Europe’s biggest clubs have ‘woken up’ to his talent following his impressive performances at Qatar 2022.
And now La Liga leaders Barcelona want to sign him on loan before the window closes.
However, the deal was reportedly blocked by his current club Fiorentina, prompting the star to post a cryptic story on Instagram.
“Go now,” read the quote he posted. “The future is not promised to anyone.”
Barca’s proposal includes an option to buy him for £35m, according to football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
That sum would include a loan fee of £2.64m with an option to buy him worth £32.5m.

Amrabat was called a ‘colossus’ during the World Cup
Fiorentina, however, ‘do not accept these conditions’, resulting in the midfielder missing out on training.
Should Barca secure a deal down the line for Amrabat, he would be their first signing of the January window, as the club have been restricted due to Financial Fair Play regulations.
And Barcelona manager Xavi is said to be keen on the idea as it would give him another option in midfield to cover veteran Sergio Busquets.
If Fiorentina change their minds about their current stance, longtime Amrabat admirers Liverpool will miss it.
The midfielder has been tipped for a summer move to Anfield, reporting manager for French outlet Foot Mercato Jurgen Klopp met with Amrabat representatives as he sought his services in December.
The Reds are still desperate for new midfield reinforcements, having lost key target Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid in the summer.
