Sofia Carson and Dove Cameron continue to mourn the loss of their Descendants co-star Cameron Boyce as she posts tributes to the late actor on Instagram.
More than a week after Cameron’s death from an “ongoing health issue,” his friends and family are still in shock as they struggle to cope with the heartbreaking news. Dove shared her thoughts on her friend’s passing with a letter she read on Instagram, but now she’s sharing another video, this one featuring Boyce himself.
The post is a black-and-white stop-motion video of Boyce hugging Dove, as the two laugh together. The actress left the post without a caption, letting it speak for itself.
Sofia Carson has also been busy remembering her friend on Instagram. She first broke her silence after Cameron’s death a few days ago with a solo photo of the actor. “To our angel,” she wrote in the caption. “There aren’t enough words. There will never be enough words. I couldn’t bring myself to do this because doing this makes it real. Letting you go isn’t something I I know how to do it. And I just can’t imagine living in a world without you, I love you, Cam and I will love you forever.
She then shared a creepy video of Cameron playing guitar, followed by a photo of him in a car, admiring a beautiful sunset.
Sofia rounded out her articles on Cameron by announcing that the foundation in his honor, the Cameron Boyce Foundation, has been officially launched. In the caption, she revealed that she would be “guided by the mission that was in Cam’s heart and soul.”
“We are the lucky ones who lived in the same era as Cameron Boyce,” she wrote. “Together we will keep his heart and legacy alive… This is for you Cam.”
The foundation will provide “young people with artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and will use resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world,” according to its website.
In addition to these tributes, Disney decided to cancel the premiere for Descendants 3, which was scheduled to take place later this month. The film will still premiere on August 2.
