CORONATION STREET
From day one, Glenda seemed to be on the show forever, and casting Jodie Prenger was a masterstroke. George’s flamboyant sister wasted no time in getting her feet not only under the Rovers table, but on it too – in fact, you can barely see the table for her magnificent presence.
Excited to host the pub quiz, she is furious when Daisy tells her that Jenny will, because after Leo leaves for Canada, she feels much better. Who can blame her?
She managed to sideline Canada and tasteless Leo in one fell swoop. It’s not just a get out of jail card, it’s a whole pack.
“From day one, Glenda seemed like she had been on the show forever, and casting Jodie Prenger (pictured) was a masterstroke,” Jaci Stephen said.
Glenda as she grabs the microphone. George’s flamboyant sister wasted no time in getting her feet not only under the Rovers table
So, did Glenda cause Jenny to “accident” on the freshly cleaned floor, causing her to spend the night in the ER? Naturally, in his absence, Glenda wastes no time grabbing the microphone.
Thank goodness for newcomer, attorney Dee-Dee; perhaps she could take some of the burden off Adam who, as a lawyer, has the weight of every case on his shoulders.
Murder, property, divorce – you name it, he’s the expert. Students would have to line up to go to the law school he attended.
Dee-Dee’s first job was to call James’ club to try and broker him a good exit deal. Now she’s taking on Stu’s case. Obviously, she went to the same law school as Adam.
Quickly discovering that there was no trace of Stu’s DNA on Charlie’s bag, she says re-testing it will be expensive. Alya, however, is determined to find the money.
From where, pray? Speed Daal has no more than two customers per month. Is Lucy hiding the reason why Stuart no longer wishes to pursue the case?
Whore ! Dee-Dee is not only a lawyer, she is also Inspector Morse. Give the woman a free poppadom.
In other Bailey news, Tim buys Aggie a necklace to thank her for helping pick out Sally’s birthday present. Please stop this now; I can see where it’s going and I don’t like it.
EMMERDALE
Emmerdale debuted on October 16, 1972, so this month we can expect big things. Aaron’s return is one of the highlights
No one likes walkers, and the village has more than its fair share. Now it’s Terry’s turn, on the lookout for Liv, demanding that she withdraw her statement to the police.
Following a fight, she falls, hits her head and remains unconscious. At least it changes her state of mind because of the alcohol, although she seems to spend more time unconscious than conscious.
Making a hasty exit, Terry encounters Aaron (right, yes he’s back), who is arrested for attacking him. Finally released, Aaron arrives at the hospital, but will it be too little, too late, to hope to catch up?
Remember Liv said she would never forgive him for giving up on her when she needed it (in all honesty, there were a lot of needy hours, thousands, in fact). Vinny still won’t allow Aaron to see her.
Nate is clearly taking a leaf out of Liv’s book because he’s still drunk and joking about Mack’s affair. Ryan senses something is wrong and forces Mack to turn things around.
Insisting that Mack tell Charity, are we in shock when he sets out to deal with the situation with his one-night stand and the identity is revealed?
Any guesses? I still think of Gabby. If it is her, rest assured that she will not remain silent. Gabby by name, Gabby by nature.
A marching band for big 5-0…

Ostensibly visiting for the dying Faith (we were promised a heartbreaking ending) but finding Liv in the hospital, he’ll also have to deal with Chas having an affair with Al – if he finds out.
Of course he will. Other characters making a return for the anniversary are Diane and Tracy. And there is a deadly storm. Time to start working on those crowns?
ESTENDERS
Sam spends most of her life playing the mean girl and then explaining why. It’s a daunting task, and when she tries to tell Kat why she double-crossed Phil (good luck with that), they end up fighting and Phil throws Sam out of the house.
One can’t help but wonder if all the orange juice Phil drinks is having a detrimental effect on his behavior; at least when he was drinking he was unconscious most of the time.
With Keeble on his back, “frettnin” to go after the rest of the fairmly” unless Jimmie is taken out of Billy’s defense, he’s on a leash. When he sees Jonah grabbing Sam’s arm, he punches him, leaving Jonah also ‘frettnin’ the fairmly’.
As Shirley worries about telling Phil the “troof”, Sam calls her bluff, but it backfires, and Shirley drops the bombshell that Sam has been scamming her for months. That’s a lot of frets. Why not just go to Spain, Phil, and let them be?

Not for the first time. Why doesn’t she just keep a travel bag on the street? It would save a lot of time.
This is good news for Shirley, who decides to play detective and follow Phil to gather information that she hopes to use to her advantage.
