‘SNL’ Melissa Villaseñor Does Her Gwen Stefani Impression for Gwen Stefani – TODAY

Melissa Villaseñor left Gwen Stefani asking for more after doing her perfect impression of Stefani on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

The two were guests on the show on Monday, October 3. The former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star does regular impressions of Stefani and this is the first time they’ve met in person. But they interacted over the internet, Villaseñor said on the show.

“You reposted some of the tracks when I played you on the show,” Villaseñor told Stefani.

“Oh, well, of course,” Stefani replied. “I mean, what an honor. I always say you made it if someone dresses up for Halloween like you and makes fun of you.”

Villaseñor said it was difficult to disable her printing abilities even when she was not on set.

“If No Doubt is on the radio, or Gwen, you come on the radio and I’m driving, it’s dangerous because I’m so into your impression and it’s not safe. I can’t drive.”

Villaseñor demonstrated by pretending to drive with her hands raised around an imaginary steering wheel while singing the 2000 No Doubt hit “Simple Kind of Life”.

“I’m driving, like ‘For a long time // I was in love’,” she sang before ending with a “beep beep!”

Stefani burst out laughing, as did Clarkson and the audience.

“Do it again,” Stefani said with a laugh. “Can you do that again?”

Villaseñor dramatically exclaimed, “You really are adorable under it all,” and everyone laughed again.

She did a Stefani impression in April 2021 on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

The comedian immediately mastered Stefani’s seductive manners and said, “Mr. Taxi, I’m just a girl, pick me up. I want to go home. Excuse me sir.

DeGeneres cracked up throughout the print, and Villaseñor had a big smile on her face when it was all said and done.
