FANS have slammed Sky Sports for taking away the honors from Lionel Messi in the Copa America and Champions League as Gary Neville hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the GOAT.
The expert was drawn into the centuries-old debate concerning the two emblematic figures of football.
But viewers hit the graph strewn with errors Sky displayed on their Monday Night Football cover.
Comparing the pair’s accomplishments, he said Messi has no international titles under his belt.
And this despite the fact that the Paris Saint-Germain forward led Argentina to the Copa America crown THIS summer.
To make matters worse, the graph suggested that Messi had three Champions League winner medals – clearly forgetting one of his triumphs in 2006, 2009, 2011 or 2015.
And Messi’s supporters were even more saddened to see Ronaldo being credited with two international honors – thus counting the UEFA Nations League Premier League as a major title for Portugal.
Argentina’s 2008 Olympic gold medal was also omitted.

Gary Lineker, an avid Messi fan, quickly pointed out the error.
He tweeted sarcastically: “To be fair, it’s been so long since Messi led Argentina to Copa America victory, they have a right to forget that.”
Another commented: “Ignore the Copa America and Messi’s Olympic gold medal and consider the Nations League… seriously.”
A third added: “And if they include the Nations League as a major tournament, then the Olympics should be there too. Ronaldo is brilliant but Messi is quite comfortably the greatest player to play the game.”
Neville and his training partner Jamie Carragher were analyzing Ronaldo’s two-goal return for Manchester United ahead of Everton against Burnley.
And the Portuguese superstar’s ex-teammate said: “I just feel with the international goalscoring records, the Champions Leagues and the variety of goals he’s scored, I have to think he’s the greatest all-time football player.
“He does the [United] better team… it makes them more likely to win the title than they were three weeks ago.
“Something in me tells me that I don’t think he will make them the team that will take them to the title this season.”
Carragher had none of that though.
He hit back: “No one is a big fan of Ronaldo or Messi. Ronaldo is not the greatest player of all time.
“No matter how a ball goes into the net… Messi has a better goal record than Ronaldo. He’s also a playmaker, Messi can make a game, Ronaldo can’t.
“Ronaldo maybe can do things Messi can’t do, but Messi takes you to a place where you can’t really believe what you see.
“Ronaldo is doing things that other players can do… Messi is doing things that we have never seen before.”
