The Beatles star got excited about always ‘looking for that next discovery’ as he revealed his fondness for independent record shops in London.

Sir Paul spoke about his musical influences in the foreword to his brand new 163-track music offering, The 7” Singles Box, a snippet of which was shared by The Sun,
He wrote: ‘After The Beatles had our first big hit in America, I started getting their Top 20 Soul Records sent to me on the 7th.
“It was romantic, these songs coming from America. I did it because I really liked the music, but it also meant that I followed what was happening.
“I always found there was something exciting about going through the checkouts of a record store and looking for the next discovery,” something he still does today at independent record stores in London.

“Some of my fondest memories of buying 7″ singles came from the Jamaican record store we went to when we were on vacation in Montego Bay,” Sir Paul recalled.
The singer spoke fondly of a “great adventure” every time he ventured to Tony’ Records on Fustic Road to find new music.
Not only is Sir Paul a wildly successful music star, it was reported last month that he had pocketed £1.5m investing in a plant-based chicken business and start-up -up of music technology.
The £800million superstar launched MPL Ventures during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since backed a plant-based chicken company as well as a music tech start-up behind it ABBA’s latest album, Voyage, it has been claimed.

A source told The Sun: ‘Paul is a man of many talents and his new business is making a lot of money. He uses the business to invest money in growing businesses and it works wonders.
“So far he has used the money to help fund TiNDLE which makes fake chicken in the US and hopes to bring the product to the UK.
“Paul has also invested in a UK music tech start-up called Audoo. The picks may be a little less traditional than the stock market, but it pays dividends for Paul.
