It looks like there is potentially trouble in heaven between talkSPORT host Simon Jordan and heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
On Saturday night, Fury and Jordan, who usually only have good things to say to each other, were both at ringside for the heavyweight encounter between Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker.
It was an epic clash that saw both men land and absorb bombs throughout, before Joyce earned the 11th round stoppage with a crushing left hook.
The fight was a great spectacle, but after the fight ended, the focus quickly turned to Fury.
The ‘Gypsy King’ spoke to reporters, including talkSPORT’s Gareth A Davies, about his potential upcoming fight with Anthony Joshua before having a heated face-to-face interaction with Derek Chisora.
While most onlookers couldn’t get enough of the drama, Jordan found the whole affair “disrespectful” to Joyce and Parker – with both fighters putting on a brilliant performance in the ring.
“I was really irritated and agitated by the fact that two pugilists were fighting, which was a fight of the year, and all Gareth A Davies and everyone was interested in was going to see Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora and talk about Joshua,” Jordan said.
“I looked at Tyson and thought, ‘How disrespectful Tyson is’, it wasn’t about you, it was about these two guys in a ring who put on an absolutely fabulous performance and we let’s not talk about them, we’re talking about Anthony Joshua.
Jordan then shared his thoughts on the ongoing negotiations between Fury and Joshua for a potential fight on Dec. 3 and it looks like he’s getting frustrated with the whole ordeal.
“Sign the bleeding fight, don’t sign the fight, in the end you will fight or you won’t, it won’t change anyone’s life will it,” Jordan added.
“I think Fury is using Joshua as a sprat to catch a mackerel to get Oleksandr Usyk. I think Fury will fight Manuel Charr and I think Fury wants Usyk.
“There is a lot more going on behind the scenes and some people may suggest there is an agreement in place between Usyk and Fury that they fight, but in the middle of it there is no fight between Joshua and Fury because there’s too much risk in there. fight and he could jeopardize unchallenged.
“There are a lot of theories as to why it’s not happening, I just don’t see the need to keep hearing Tyson Fury say one minute he’s retiring, the next minute he’s fighting Derek Chisora, the next minute he’s fighting Anthony Joshua, then he’s going to fight Manuel Charr.
“Now he wants to fight Usyk and by the way Anthony Joshua, you’re lucky so you do what I say when I say.”
