Chelsea break UK transfer record to snap up Enzo Fernandez is bad news for Liverpool and their long pursuit of Jude Bellingham.
That’s according to talkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan, who believes that if Fernandez went to Stamford Bridge for £106.8m, Borussia Dortmund will demand at least £150m for the England international.

He was finally unveiled to fans a day later, where it was revealed that he will wear No. 5 on his back.
However, former Anfield hero Danny Murphy doesn’t think that will stop the Reds from trying to sign Bellingham, and he wants the club to get Declan Rice from West Ham too!
Argentina midfielder Hernandez’s colossal move tipped Chelsea’s spending in January past the £300m mark, with billionaire owner Todd Boehly putting his hands deep in his pockets to rebuild a Blues squad who currently sit tenth in the Premier League.
And the star attraction, which was unveiled on Tuesday, could be the envy of Liverpool fans given Jurgen Klopp’s side need a similar investment.
The Reds are just one place above ninth-place Chelsea and their players have looked tired this season, while Klopp’s options have been decimated by a nearly season-long injury crisis.
Bellingham has been heavily linked with a summer move from Dortmund and Liverpool have been widely named as the main suitors for his signature.
Jordan says it’s a tall order now.

Bellingham could have a big decision to make this summer with Liverpool and Real Madrid keen on the Borussia Dortmund and England star
“Obviously Dortmund are going to sit there rubbing their hands because of the situation Liverpool find themselves in now,” he said on the White and Jordan show.
“If Liverpool can raise money, then I think it’s an interesting place for him because he can really be part of a regeneration, and with the legacy of this football club, and Jurgen Klopp in his pomp. , I would like to see him there.
“I hate this conversation because of the ridiculous values given to footballers…
“But if you talk about this kid Fernandez going to Chelsea from Benfica for £105m, then you look at Bellingham and all that and you start moving into £125m or £150m territory.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has said he wanted to invite Bellingham over for dinner to convince him to join the Reds.
“They won’t ask for it on a drip either. Dortmund will say: “We have a bunch of suitors, so you pay him and you pay him now.”
“And Real Madrid can pay whatever they want.”
Murphy admits a big rebuild is needed at Anfield, especially in the middle of the park.
And he’s urged his beloved side to drop cash on just two players this summer who he thinks will make all the difference.
“I think it would be stupid of me not to be shocked and surprised at how far they’ve fallen in such a short time,” said the former Liverpool player.
“We are talking about a team that was close to winning the quadruple last season.
“They don’t look at it, they don’t look like they have a lot of legs or are very hungry. They are missing players, of course, but they had some of those players at the start of the season and the results were the same.
“I think there is some rebuilding needed, and by that I mean players out the door and a few more inside. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Naby Keita leave I’m not sure James Milner is going to stay another year, if he does he won’t play much – that’s three midfielders [on their way out]
“The midfield needs a refresh and I would love Bellingham to perform because he is exactly what Liverpool need.
“But I don’t think they only need one, I think they probably need two.”
“I would go for Bellingham and Rice. I would try to have them both. Why not? Go hard or go home with two big signings, rather than four or five.
“Rice and Bellingham going into that midfield with Thiago…”, well, his face lit up just at the thought.
