(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) — The Sieminski Theater hosts Soultown at Motown in September, Yellow Brick Road: A Tribute to Elton John and The Cast of Beatlemania in October onstage for their upcoming fall lineup.
“Soultown to Motown” begins programming on September 11 at 2:30 p.m. This is the new show of 2022 from The Sensational Soul Cruisers. This choreographed 11-piece band puts on a show that keeps audiences on their toes, singing and dancing to the greatest hits from The Temptations, The Jackson Five, The Spinners, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops and countless others. others. It’s a full multimedia show with an incredible live band that many have described as a cross between Kool and the Gang, Chicago and the Temptations, delivering a “WOW” show, every time. “Soultown to Motown” will take you on a musical journey from Memphis to Philadelphia to Detroit. Music that reflected a generation that wanted to be heard…and they were!
“Yellow Brick Road: A Tribute to Elton John” follows October 8 at 7:30 p.m. There is no other artist that looks and sounds so much like Elton John, nor any tribute act that offers the experience of being at an Elton John concert like Gerald Brann and Yellow Brick Road do. Brann not only bears an uncanny resemblance to the international superstar – complete with a gap-toothed smile and many of his mannerisms – but recreates Elton John’s voice and plays it to the hilt. To capture the essence of the man at the piano, Brann dresses in replica costumes and wears Elton’s outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong fan of Elton John, and his admiration and love for his music shines through as he plays hit after hit with a remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. . Brann and his talented five-piece band evoke audience participation throughout the show — whether it’s singing along to “Rocket Man” and “Your Song,” rocking to “Candle in the Wind,” or skipping along to ” Crocodile Rock”. With an unprecedented nod from the man himself, Gerald Brann has secured permission to use Elton John’s own orchestral scores to perform with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Brann and Yellow Brick Road have been officially endorsed by Hercules, Elton John’s international fan club, and have played extensively worldwide to rave reviews.
Beatlemania “The Cast” concludes fall performances on October 22 at 7:30 p.m. The “Cast” recreates the sights and sounds of The BEATLES so faithfully that you’ll remember when the world was engulfed in the most enjoyable fever of all: BEATLEMANIA! The “Cast” continue on their show as the BEATLES have changed in their career. Three different costumes coincide with the evolution of music and times. Theirs is the first, original and only complete performance of the musical force called The BEATLES.The “Cast” includes former members who starred in the Broadway production and performed in all fifty states and more than twenty foreign countries, including Canada, England, Mexico, Brazil and Japan. The “Cast” was individually selected from thousands of musicians who auditioned from across the United States for the Broadway show, BEATLEMANIA.
