‘Shut your pie hole’ – UFC superstar Conor McGregor lashes out at ‘abomination’ Cris Cyborg after Artem Lobov lawsuit comment

Former two-weight champion Conor McGregor has dropped MMA legend Cris Cyborg after calling him “pathetic” on social media.

The unlikely beef began after it was revealed ‘Notorious’ is being sued by a former bandmate who claims the Proper 12 brand of Irish whiskey was his brainchild.

‘Notorious’ is currently the subject of a lawsuit regarding Artem Lobov’s Proper 12

Artem Lobov, a retired fighter who trained alongside McGregor, says he was central to the creation of Proper 12 before he was kicked out of the company when it took off and brought in a lot money to the Irish.

In April 2021, McGregor and two other investors sold their shares in Proper 12 for $600 million. [£503million] and the former two-weight UFC champion became the sport’s richest man as a result.

Last week, Lobov sued in the High Court and claims there was a deal that entitled him to 5% of the $180 million. [£151million] ‘Mystic Mac’ made from sale.

McGregor responded to his former friend’s lawsuit by singing a song about Lobev on social media, he chanted, “Artem is a rat, na na na na!” Hey! Na na, na na! Hey! Artem is a rat, na na na na. Hey! Rat.”

Former UFC champion and current Bellator title holder Cyborg was unimpressed with the 34-year-old’s childish reaction to serious business and called it “pathetic”.

McGregor fired back in a since-deleted post, tweeting, “You are an abomination. Shut your clap.”

The MMA legend who has been linked to a boxing match with Katie Taylor isn’t the only fighter to have found herself in McGregor’s crosshairs in recent days.

UFC light-heavyweight contender Anthony Smith recently felt the wrath of the Irishman when he publicly discussed McGregor’s decision to quit the UFC’s drug testing program.

The biggest star in MMA history blurted out ‘Lionheart’ in a series of messages ahead of his upcoming US return [USADA] test pool.

Away from the commercial and social media dramas, McGregor is gearing up for his highly anticipated comeback after fully recovering from the fractured tibia and fibula he suffered at UFC 264.
