And Selena Gomez watched the worlds far away from her onscreen character while filming Only Murders in the Building in New York City on Monday morning.

The 28-year-old actress wore a trendy leather skirt with a sweater as she worked her way through hair and makeup before another busy day of filming.

Selena’s black leather mini featured a row of buttons down the front, which she teamed with sheer black nylons and chunky brown leather boots.

She stayed warm under a navy sweater with gray cuffed sleeves around her wrists.

The Hands to Myself singer wore her dark brown braids parted in the middle and just past her shoulders.

She played it safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic by wearing a bright blue disposable face mask and she carried a cup of coffee in one hand.

While Gomez looked classy upon entering the office, an entirely different scene unfolded the other day as she was covered in fake blood during filming.

Cameras rolled as Selena was handcuffed and driven to a waiting vehicle while her ivory turtleneck sweater was stained with dried blood as she walked with her hands cuffed behind her back.

In her latest adventure, Selena stars alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short and Vanessa Aspillaga in a drama about “ three strangers who share an obsession with real crime and suddenly find themselves caught up in one, ” according to IMDb.

Her year in front of the camera (and microphone) is only just beginning as she is also expected to be working on In the Shadow of the Mountain and will also lend her voice as Mavis in Hotel Transylvania 4.
