In a later interview with Vulture, Selena said the snaps with Hailey were “not a big deal” and added, “It’s not even a thing.”
Hailey had previously indicated on the Call Her Daddy podcast that her equation with Selena was “all respect” – and during the same interview, she strongly denied that Justin had cheated on Selena with her.
Selena and Justin were teenage sweethearts but suffered their last breakup in 2018, months before his court wedding to Hailey.
The month after Justin married Hailey, Selena reportedly suffered depression related to her lupus and began treatment for her mental health.

A day after news broke of Selena’s alleged breakdown, Justin was spotted feeling distressed as he sat in his car next to Hailey.
Hailey has received back from diehard Selena fans throughout her relationship with Justin, who she has now been married to for over four years.
When Justin and Hailey attended the Americana-themed Met Gala together in September 2021, onlookers chanted, “Selena!” on them.
Hailey’s cousin Ireland claimed the couple weren’t fazed by Selena’s mocking fans, writing on social media: “They are one of the happiest and most loving couples I’ve ever had. had the chance to meet.” They don’t care about them.
In 2020, Justin shared a social media post by a Selena fan who encouraged others to flood Hailey’s live stream with remarks that “Jelena was better.”
“It’s extremely hard to choose the royal road when I see people like this trying to get together to get people together to bully the person I love the most in the world,” Justin wrote.
Hailey became so exasperated that in April she posted a TikTok pleading with the trolls who are “in my comments every time I post” to “please leave me alone.”
Perhaps referring to how long Justin and Selena broke up, she added, “Enough time has passed that it’s valid to leave me alone.” please, really.

Meanwhile, a TikTok user named @essymakingsounds made Selena “cry” on Wednesday with an adorable post, saying, “Does anyone really feel bad for Selena Gomez?” For example, can you imagine going through a breakup so publicly with a guy you were in love with for seven years, then two months later he marries someone.
“And then you have a chronic disease or an autoimmune disease – I can’t imagine that being fun. Live with that and flare ups in the public eye while people watch you. And then take care of mental health when life is hard enough.
“Kudos to her for being so brave, so public and so open about her journey. But I bet if we ever walked in her place – where everything is so publicized – it would be so difficult. So every time I think of a tough day, I think of Selena Gomez. I feel bad for saying this, but if she can do it, anyone can.
The post was certainly received as Selena replied in the comments: ‘This comment made me cry. THANKS!’
