Selena Gomez showed off her cozy off-duty style on Tuesday and her more polished, event-ready fall style on Wednesday. The singer appeared at a New York screening for her Apple TV+ documentary my mind and me, wearing an olive coat with a black mini dress and boots. Her hair was styled in soft waves.
Gomez spoke to Vulture last month on how she felt watching the project, which captured her life and mental health journey over a six-year period.
“I think it brought me back to a time“She started. “The things I was watching in 2016, 2017, 2018, I can’t believe I was that girl. It breaks my heart. I’m grateful to be on the other side, but when I watched, for example, the first part of the movie where I talk about my body, I don’t feel like crying now, but I was completely overwhelmed by myself. I couldn’t believe the things I aspired to be. Which really isn’t possible unless you have a lot of money and are willing to spend it to do this to yourself. It really broke my heart. That’s not the feeling I want to give anyone. I hope not. So watching it was kind of shocking and upsetting.
“But I feel really proud,” she continued. “I’ve had so many moments with people, real genuine moments, where women in their 40s tell me about their divorce or something they’re going through. I can’t help loving people for what they are, even when it’s frustrating and even maybe when I shouldn’t. I believe in people. In the end, I sacrificed my story – what I don’t mind is just a little weird – hopefully it has a larger purpose and can continue as a conversation for people.
