New Selena Gomez music may be coming soon. Talk with Deadline for points of sale Crew call podcast released on Tuesday (May 24), the “Lose You to Love Me” singer confirmed that she is currently in Los Angeles working on an LP.
“I’m in LA working on my album now,” the 29-year-old revealed when asked what to expect after the second season of her hit Hulu series. Only murders in the buildingon which she plays Mabel Mora. Gomez didn’t share any additional details about the upcoming album release, which will serve as a follow-up to her 2020 album. Rareand his 2021 EP in Spanish, Revelation; the albums peaked at #1 and #22 on the Billboard 200 chart, respectively.

As for touring plans, Gomez isn’t sure if she’ll be hitting the road in support of the upcoming album due to her busy schedule, although she’s “open” to the possibility of a tour happening. “I’m open to touring, one thousand percent, but obviously I have obligations and things I want to do, so when the time is right,” she explained on the podcast. “That’s not the top of my priority list.”
Gomez also teased that there was the possibility of a musical number in Only murders in the building, in which she stars alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. When the interviewer suggested a cabaret musical number for the show, the actress said, “Steve and I are hesitant because I want to be careful. I love Mabel, and I love that she’s an extension from me, so sometimes I worry about it becoming a pop star, and it’s clearly not Mabel,” she said. “I’m not against it.
