- An attempt to Stop New coastal drilling in California is in progress. the Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit alleging that federal agencies are failing to protect endangered marine life. Workers searched for oil contamination in the sand on the beaches on Tuesday October 5 after a leak in a pipeline caused a disturbing spill of approximately 126,000 gallons of oil into the Orange County ocean. The new trial points to October Huntington Beach Oil Spill as proof that federal regulators are failing to protect humpback whales, sea turtles and other endangered species oil drilling off the California coast. The lawsuit also aims to throw a Analysis of the Trump era, made before the incident, which revealed that “no major oil spill was likely”. - Hundreds of translucent moon jellies‘ take over Huntington Harborbut don’t worry, they are not dangerous. This particular type of jellyfish does not sting people. The swarm of clear moon jellies was spotted the last days in the marina attracting the gaze of the curious. “I’m delighted,” said Jessica Roam, a Newport Landing Whale Watching Naturalist who went to see the marine visitors on Wednesday. the moon jellies are common, but are usually not seen in large quantities in the port, she said. - the Surf-themed Sessions sandwich bar comes to the Macy’s South Shore Square. It will replace the Wolfgang Puck Bistro at Macy’s South Coast Plaza. They are also opening another location, not in partnership with Macy’s. the Wolfgang Washer restaurant in Costa Mesa closed Tuesday Jan 18 after 20 years. A Macy’s spokesperson thanked Wolfgang Puck’s team for their partnership. During a telephone interview, Matt Meddock, a Session owner said the South Coast Plaza location will be the the biggest store Sessions has ever built. They plan to keep the pizza in the wood fire Puck restaurant oven so they can offer more flatbreads. He added that the decor and atmosphere will be relaxedlocally inspired “surf, relax, hang out with friends” restaurant with “spicy sandwiches, a spicy beer and a wine list”.
