Scarlett Johansson opened up about the biggest challenge she faced while filming her first Marvel movie, Iron Man 2.
The 37-year-old made her first appearance as Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in the 2010 film alongside Robert Downey Jr.’s titular superhero.
Johansson, who reprized the role for the seventh time last year Black Widow, spoke to vanity lounge on the challenges she faced while filming her first Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie.
The Lucy The star said she was in her early 20s when she was cast, admitting she had “never set foot in a gym”.
“It was a huge moment for me because I was, I don’t know, 23 or 24 when I was chosen for iron man 2“Johansson said.

In June 2021, Johansson said she was glad her superhero persona was no longer “sexualized” and treated “like a possession.”
