The fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally upon us, team. On March 9, Marvel dropped the latest trailer for Black Widow – a follow-up of the trailers released in January and February – and, damn, it looks so good.
The first trailer begins with a montage of the most memorable moments from Black Widow. That means the first 20 seconds of the trailer are largely a mix of images from previous Marvel movies, with Scarlett Johansson’s character Natasha Romanoff, giving a solemn monologue over it. “Before, I had nothing. And then I had this job, this family, but nothing lasts forever,” she said, referring to her Avengers comrades.
The pinnacle of the other trailers is a fight scene with Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova, and when the character of David Harbor, Alexei, shows up. There are a few details under the radar that the Twitter MCU quickly noticed, commented on, and fell madly in love with – as does Yelena Belova wears green vest that Natasha was wearing Infinity War and also Alexei’s line, “Family. Back together again.” In the latest trailer, there are more epic fight scenes and Natasha teamed up with her family before the Avengers, working with her “sister” and kicking serious ass in the process. We even have a glimpse of the school of murderous widows (the “new world of widows”, as Natasha calls it) and see a shootout rich in pyrotechnics between Natasha and the big villain of the film, Taskmaster.
