“The Gypsy King” is set to face his Ukrainian counterpart twice due to a rematch clause included in the fight contract.

A fight between Fury and Joshua has long been speculated and the latter has already faced Usyk twice, losing both times.

But perhaps he would be ready to face whoever becomes the champion in next month’s showdown amid a new social media post.

Saudi boxing chief, HE Alalshikh taken at and posted a photo alongside the former heavyweight champion of the world.

“We await the result of Usyk vs Fury,” he said in the caption while teasing the Briton’s next potential big fight.

Joshua and Fury were scheduled to fight for the first time in 2021, but Fury was forced to face Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight.

Talks then resumed with a view to a possible clash in December 2022, but these failed again due to delays in signing contracts.

Although the much-vaunted all-British fight is one that boxing fans have long been waiting for, Fury is only keeping his sights on Usyk.

“The way I see it is: Joshua is a dosser and he has to wait his turn,” he said in his recent press conference ahead of next month’s fight.

However, Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum has hinted that ‘The Gypsy King’ could still fight AJ for an immediate rematch with Usyk before the end of 2024.

Joshua lost his first fight to Usyk by unanimous decision in 2021 before being defeated by split decision a year later in Saudi Arabia.

So they could be set for a trilogy fight if “The Cat” wins his showdown against Fury, which takes place in just under a month.

But for now, Joshua will have to wait to see who will be crowned the next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world before a potential fight against either of the two.

The 34-year-old was last in the ring in March when he beat former UFC champion Francis Ngannou with a second-round knockout.
