Sandra Sully suffers awkward on-air gaffe as 10 News First accidentally shows silly footage of newsreader stumbling over her words
Veteran newsreader Sandra Sully was unwittingly caught up in a live TV failure after 10 News First accidentally aired blooper footage on Tuesday.
The clip shows Sully going silent while trying to report a story about Florida’s latest hurricane evacuation orders.
Sully looked frustrated as she fumbled her words, shuffling her papers and looking down.

The screen then suddenly goes black, before the ads start playing.
Bizarrely, footage of Sully’s blooper is then released a second time. It then suddenly speeds up, plays backwards, and eventually goes black.
Sully’s blooper was actually pre-recorded in Sydney hours before it aired in Brisbane, according to television black box,
As reported by TV Blackbox, the clip shows Sully going mute while trying to report a story about the latest hurricane evacuation orders in Florida.
This didn’t go unnoticed, as several viewers later aired their confusion on Twitter.
‘Channel 10 News is in trouble,’ one tweeted, while another wrote, ‘Hope all is well with Sandra Sully – TV is making weird leaps.’
Sully finally responded after a viewer speculated that his blooper was “an accidentally aired dry run.”
This didn’t go unnoticed, as several viewers later aired their confusion on Twitter.
“Not at all – just some technical issues tonight folks – thanks for sticking with us,” she replied.
It comes just months after The 10 News First: Breakfast host Lachlan Kennedy accidentally started a breakfast bulletin with with ‘bonsoir’ instead of ‘bonjour’.
Kennedy, who previously hosted the evening news, did not acknowledge the error and continued the show as if nothing had happened.
