Earlier this year, Samsung announced that select 2021 TVs and monitors will have access to game streaming through the Samsung Gaming Hub app. Today, the company begins to go out the update that brings the Gaming Hub to these older models. So if you own one, you will soon have a new way to play games. All without the need for Ethernet cables, desktops or laptops, or game consoles.
However, playing with these things is still fantastic. And we’re not suggesting anyone give them up or give up on getting into PC and console gaming. It’s simply a good alternative for Samsung to bring game streaming to 2021 TVs and monitors. Especially if you have other people in the house who like to play games. Now there is another way to make this possible.
Game streaming to Samsung 2021 TVs is a simple process
You won’t have to overdo it to make things work. In fact, the whole thing is a fairly simple process. To get started, you need to make sure your TV or monitor is up to date. So check for the latest firmware and download the update if needed. And in most or all cases it should be necessary.
From there, all you have to do is connect a controller you want to use to play games, then select a service to start streaming with. Samsung Gaming Hub supports GeForce NOW, Xbox Game Pass, Utomik, and Amazon Luna. However, you will need to subscribe to one of these services if you want to stream. As well as being logged in with your credentials.
Luckily, singing is a one-time thing, so once you’ve completed it the first time, you can stream games with minimal effort each time afterward. Samsung brought the Gaming Hub to most of its 2022 TVs earlier this year. So it’s not the first time people have had access to it. But it’s good to see the feature making its way to more users. Because there was no point in rushing to replace a television that is only a year old for that reason alone.
