More than 250 Samsung LED displays installed in team training rooms, lounges, meeting areas and gathering spaces will help players, coaches and staff prepare for the upcoming football season.

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is partnering with the Los Angeles Chargers to outfit the team’s new headquarters and practice facilities.Bolt— in El Segundo, California, with an ecosystem of more than 250 Samsung LED screens dedicated to training and player well-being, team branding and multimedia functions. The 150,000 square foot facility located on 14 acres of land, including three natural grass practice fields, in the heart of Los Angeles’ South Bay, will open this summer.
The partnership builds on Samsung’s work with the Chargers’ home stadium, SoFi Stadium, which has earned a reputation as the most technologically advanced sports and entertainment venue on the planet. Seeking to make practice perfect, the Chargers wanted to integrate the same innovative technologies from SoFi Stadium into their practice facilities to set a new standard of excellence in professional football coaching.
“The Chargers had a vision to create an environment that would provide their players, coaches and staff everything they needed to prepare for a winning season,” said David Phelps, Head of Display Division, Samsung Electronics America. “Partnering with Samsung to bring this vision to life was a natural fit. Our displays will support and enhance every facet of the training experience, from team workouts to game plan coordination. When the new facility opens, the Chargers will further cement their reputation as one of the most innovative teams in the NFL with Samsung’s cutting-edge technology for practice and game days.
Designed by the famous design company Gensler Sports, Bolt places Chargers players at the center of a meticulously planned three-story layout. The ground floor includes a large locker room, equipment room, training area, weight room, hydrotherapy room, team lounge and direct access to the training fields. Each room has Samsung 4K Smart Signage in sizes ranging from 43 to 85 inches that will be used for everything from nutrition and strength and performance information displays to personalized photos and videos for each space. Fans attending training camp will notice the Samsung XRB outdoor LED strip displays on the east façade of the facility facing the outfields which will be lit similarly to those surrounding the SoFi Stadium field.
Moving up to the second floor, there are coaching and recruiting offices as well as a lounge and individual meeting rooms for players. When the team wants to relax, they can enjoy the outdoor courtyard with a lap pool, grill and patio lined with several models of Samsung’s The Terrace outdoor TVs, available in screen sizes ranging from from 55 to 85 inches. The 4K QLED display automatically optimizes screen brightness and color and features advanced glare resistance, ensuring gamers can watch their favorite content in all weather conditions.
Perched atop the facility, the Chargers LUX Lounge offers an expansive outdoor terrace overlooking fields and captivating views of downtown Los Angeles. This floor also houses executive offices, conference rooms and meeting areas equipped with Samsung LCD signage, promoting team collaboration.
