We already know that Samsung is working around the clock to get Android 13 ready for prime time, but until that happens, the only way to try the new OS on a flagship released by the South -Koreans is joining the beta program.
One UI 5.0 and Android 13 can therefore be tested by installing the beta versions on your flagship Samsung phone, although it goes without saying that this comes with an increased likelihood of problems given that it is pre-release software.
On the other hand, it shouldn’t be long before the company starts rolling out Android 13 for its flagships as well. But according to a report from SamMobile, it looks like the parent company is also planning to ship the new OS to the Galaxy A53 this year, which makes perfect sense considering it’s a model that’s sells so quickly.
In other words, the following range should receive the update to Android 13 before the end of the year:
- Galaxy S21
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy Z Fold 3
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy ZFlip 3
- Galaxy ZFlip 4
- Galaxy A53
Of course, Samsung has yet to publicly confirm this list, so we should all take everything with a healthy dose of salt for now. But of course, the flagships getting the update to One UI 5.0 and Android 13 this year aren’t necessarily unexpected, so the surprising model on the list is undoubtedly the A53.
It should be noted, however, that the rollout of major software updates is happening in stages across regions around the world, so not all devices eligible for Android 13 will get the new OS on day one. . Whether or not you’re among the first to receive the update depends on your region and carrier.
