Samsung One UI 4 notifications font size is too small? Try these workarounds – PiunikaWeb

On November 15 of this year, Samsung released One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series. As expected, Samsung is gradually rolling out the update. So it may take some time before you can update to the latest version.

Of course, the latest news from Samsung is inspired by Google Material You and automatically adjusts the color palettes according to the wallpaper. The company has also added new features focused on privacy and personalization.

That being said, since the recent release of One UI 4, users are likely to experience bugs and issues. Now, it seems that many users who have updated their devices to One UI 4 based on Android 12 are facing an issue where the notification font is way too small.

It is really frustrating for many as they are uncomfortable reading the contents of the notification. Users say they don’t like the change at all and want the notification text to revert to what it was in One UI 3.5.

A user of UI 4 says he tried to change the font size, but it seems to have no effect on the font size of notifications. You can see for yourself what it looks like in the image below.

It is terrible. The text zoom setting also didn’t seem to affect notifications. I have tested moving the zoom and it affects the main text but the notification does not appear to be unchanged. I wish I could go back to the previous version to be honest.

My s21 was updated to Android 12 last night, and it changed my entire font size, and even the notification sizes. Is there a way to fix this? I have already gone to the setting and set the screen zoom to max. I don’t know how to go back, cause smallness hurts my eyes

Fortunately, a Reddit user shared a workaround that fixes the font of notifications on One UI 4. To correct the font size, all you need to do is head to the settings app and go to the settings app. switch the screen resolution to the highest one and go back to whatever you want.

Also, if you want to increase the size of the notifications that appear on the lock screen, just adjust the text size in the “Font size and style” settings.

Samsung hasn’t said anything about this yet, so we don’t know if this is an intentional change or a bug. Nonetheless, we will keep an eye on the matter and let you know if and when Samsung has something to say on the matter.

In the meantime, let us know if the workaround fixed the issue for you in the comments section below.
