NETHERLANDS: Samsung has officially launched the DVM S2, its sixth generation digital multivariable air conditioner platform for the European market.

First announced on Samsung’s Climate Solutions Day 2021 in January, the new DVM S2 range would offer industry-leading seasonal energy efficiency and AI innovation monitoring capabilities. It allows for improved installation flexibility and ease of maintenance and can be connected to up to 64 indoor units, including Samsung WindFree products.

Samsung says the new DVM S2 is on average 11% more efficient in terms of seasonal energy efficiency than the current market leader. To achieve this, Samsung has applied innovative technologies in the S2, including a more advanced scroll compressor with AFI (Advanced Flash Injection) technology, an enlarged heat exchanger with optimized refrigerant flow, a multi-tooth fan and the module. improved power supply.

Compared to the same capacity models of the current DVM S series, the heat transfer area of the 33.6 kW model heat exchanger is 36.2% larger and 23.7% larger on the unit 56 kW,

The active AI algorithm of the DVM S2 recognizes the conditions of the installed environment, providing optimized cooling and heating performance and real-time refrigerant leak monitoring. Samsung insists that AI low pressure control learns cooling operation patterns and reaches target temperature faster, which saves energy. Meanwhile, the AI high pressure control maintains the optimum high pressure by adjusting according to the installed environment and the AI defrost control provides the best time for defrosting. In addition, DVM S2 detects refrigerant leaks and alerts users using advanced algorithms.

Samsung claims that its advanced refrigerant subcooling control and installation condition analysis technology can reduce the size of the liquid pipe. This saves up to 28% of the amount of refrigerant.
