Samsung Health points not syncing with Vitality UK app is a known issue – PiunikaWeb

VitalityHealth is a popular name when it comes to private medical insurance providers in UK. The insurer also offers an app, Vitality UK, for Android and iOS devices.

The Vitality UK app allows users to connect their activity trackers to it to earn health points for rewards.

However, those who own Samsung smartwatches and fitness trackers have faced an issue with the Vitality UK app.

According to multiple reports, Samsung Health users faced connection issues (dots not syncing) with Vitality UK after the last app update.

The problem persists even after disconnecting and reconnecting Samsung trackers with Vitality UK and also after uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

@Vitality_UK is having trouble syncing my Samsung device. My points have not been posted since Wednesday last week, is this a known issue and if so an update when it is fixed.

Also on Samsung and the dots stopped on Wednesday last week. Vitality will tell you to uninstall / reinstall / disconnect / reconnect and wait 48 hours etc. but there is clearly another problem with this.

This is inconvenient Samsung users not only because they don’t receive any reward points, but also because their health data is not syncing with the Vitality app at all.

Some Play Store reviews indicate that this issue could also affect those who use Fitbit’s activity and fitness trackers.

It is therefore possible that this issue also affects activity trackers from other vendors. However, this remains based on our speculations.

As a reminder, Vitality announced its partnership with Samsung UK in June 2021, focused on the integration of the Samsung Health and Vitality program. However, such setbacks indicate that the partnership is not proving to be beneficial for users, at least for now.

Although Vitality UK Support has said it is aware of the Samsung Health data not syncing issue with their app, no comments have been made on a solution to the issue.

It is therefore not known how long it will take to resolve this problem. However, it is always good to see that the insurer is collecting information from users about this.

Hope Vitality UK fixes this issue quickly so that Samsung users can use the app without any issues.

That said, we’ll be reporting with new information as it becomes available, so stay tuned.
