Another insider report states that the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G are water resistant. According to Max Weinbach, the pair will be rated IPX8.
This means that they will be able to withstand water depths of over a meter for more than 30 minutes.

If that’s true, and it sounds like it, the pair will be the world’s first waterproof foldables. However, dust can also be a plague for foldables and their hinges in particular, so it might be more important for them to have protection against dust than water. However, it is not clear if they are missing this or if the tipster simply does not have information about it at this point.
Foldables have a flexible screen and a hinge, which move around and make the device waterproof more difficult than your regular bar phone. Still, the addition of water protection is hugely impressive from Samsung.
