We’re patiently waiting for the long-rumored Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 fitness tracker to break cover, but in the meantime a new hands-on video has leaked onto the web, apparently giving us a good look at the upcoming device.
The video was posted on social media by @WigettaGaming (via SamMobile), and claims to show the Galaxy Fit 3 in gray and white colors – and the wearable is shown both installed in a store window and worn on someone’s wrist.
This gives us a pretty comprehensive look at the device, and specifically that larger screen. Previous rumors suggested that the screen size would increase from 1.1 inches to 1.61 inches on the Galaxy Fit 2.
This once again raises the question of what the difference is between a smartwatch and a fitness tracker, and it certainly looks a lot like an Apple Watch – even if it lacks the third-party app support and advanced features of a watch in its own right. smart watch.
With the wearable devices on display in what looks like a retail display and boxes lined up in the background, it won’t be long before Samsung announces this device. It already appears in some of the major regulatory databases in which it must be listed.
We’ve also seen leaks about official packaging and expected pricing: it looks like the Galaxy Fit 3 will cost around double the price of the Galaxy Fit 2, which initially went on sale for $59 / £39 / AU$135 .
The wait for the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 launch has been long, considering the current model was introduced in September 2020. Our Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 review will help refresh your memory if you’ve forgotten all about it.
The improvements we’re hoping for this time around include better battery life, although the noticeably larger screen may have something to say about that. Watch for an official announcement from Samsung in the not too distant future.
