Upcoming Samsung Galaxy A12 with key specs spotted on Geekbench. It could be a variant of the Galaxy A12 with a different processor.
Samsung is reportedly launching a new variant of the Galaxy A12 which will be called Galaxy A12s. The smartphone has the model number SM-A127F. Today we spotted the Galaxy A12 on benchmarking site Geekbench along with some of its key specs.
According to the Geekbench list, the Galaxy A12s is powered by Samsung’s internal Exynos 850 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. We’ll likely see more RAM variants at launch. The smartphone starts Android 11 out of the box and is likely to ship with a One UI 3.1 skin on top. When testing on Geekbench v5, it managed to get 184 points in the single-core test and 1,022 points in the multi-core test.
The Galaxy A12s was recently spotted on the Google Play Console listing with 3GB of RAM. It also reveals that the phone has a resolution of 120 × 1339 pixels and supports a fingerprint scanner which is likely to be integrated into the power button. The phone’s support page is already live on Samsung’s website in the Philippines, hinting at an imminent launch.
Reliable tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claims that the upcoming Galaxy A12 is nothing but the original Galaxy A12 with a different chipset. The Galaxy A12 released last year is powered by the Helio P35 SoC, while the A12s will get the Exynos 850 SoC. He also revealed that the phone will be available in three colors: black, white, and blue. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant would be priced at € 180 (around $ 212) and the 4GB RAM + 128GB variant could be priced at € 200 (around $ 235). The renderings shared by Sudhanshu look like the Galaxy A12, so no design changes are made to the “s” variant.

In the recent past, the Galaxy A12s has gained approval from Bluetooth SIG, NBTC of Thailand, TKDN of Indonesia, GCF and FCC of US, and BIS of India. Obtaining multiple certifications suggests that we are not far from launch.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Specifications
The Galaxy A12 offers a 6.5-inch IPS display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and an 8MP waterdrop-style selfie camera. The square-shaped camera module on the back features a 48 MP main shooter, 5 MP ultra-wide lens, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensor.
The Galaxy A12 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. It has a side fingerprint scanner built into the power button. Connectivity options include – 4G LTE, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
