What accessories does Samsung offer?
Samsung is launching two new accessories for the Australian market, including a new smartwatch and new headphones.
Galaxy Watch 5 range
The Galaxy Watch5 series is a wearable device aimed at both the sporty and performance-minded individual, as well as the daily connection. The Watch5 is the latest of these, with a modest but fair upgrade from the Galaxy Watch4 justifying its starting price of $499. Available in 40mm and 44mm, the base model in the Watch5 series looks solid. The Watch5 Pro is available in 45mm and priced from $799, and promises an astonishing 80 hours of battery life.
Galaxy Buds2 Pro
Samsung is also releasing the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, which retails for $349 and comes in purple, white, and graphite variants. The wireless headphones offer an upgrade in sound quality from their predecessor with 24-bit hi-fi sound – essentially a crystal clear sound experience.
360 sound is a nice touch for the Buds2 Pro, working similarly to Apple’s spatial audio. The Buds2 Pro are a major step up in the lineup, and getting them may be easier than you think.
What offers are available for Samsung accessories among telecom operators?
There are a variety of deals for each of the three major telecom carriers, each offering different savings on a variety of products.
Samsung deals from Telstra
Telstra customers will be able to receive a pair of Buds Live for free with the standard Watch5 and Watch5 Pro. Buds Live is the predecessor to the Galaxy Buds Pro series, but still offers serious value in the world of wireless audio.
Samsung deals from Optus
Optus will offer the Galaxy Buds2 to customers who purchase the standard Watch5 or Watch5 Pro.
Samsung deals from Vodafone
Vodafone is offering the same deals as Optus, with Galaxy Buds2 for customers buying a Watch5 or Watch5 Pro.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
Hanging up on the phone just got a whole lot cooler.
Samsung is bringing back the glory days of mobile phones with its 2022 Z series. What sets these phones apart from the rest of the pack is its clamshell callback, with a screen that folds in half. Although this is a phone model that has essentially been left in the past, Samsung is once again reaping the success of the tech boom of the early 2000s.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 flips upside down like a smartphone, reminiscent of phone technology from the 2000s. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip is a slight improvement over its predecessor, along with the Flip 4 using a well improved and a bigger battery than the Flip 3.
The Flip 4’s screen is around 6.7 inches, which is quite large for a smartphone. The ‘flippability’ of the device means it can obviously get much smaller to fit in pockets and small bags. The 12 MP main camera is quite low for a smartphone of this quality, but the selfie camera holds its own at 10 MP.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4, which starts at 128GB, is available in two types of models, including basic and custom versions, and will retail from $1,499.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
If you like the look of the Flip 4 but want it to fold instead of flip over, you’re in luck with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. This year’s Galaxy Z Fold variant is a bit more expensive than the Flip 4, coming in at $2499 and starting at 256GB and going up to 1TB in storage options.
The main draw of the Galaxy Fold 4 that really sets it apart from its competitors is its size – 7.4 inches, making it a monster smartphone.
The Fold 4 is again just a small upgrade over its predecessor, but it’s another step in the right direction for flipping and folding phones.
