S10 Publishing, the music publishing division of Brandon Silverstein, and Avex USA, the US arm of Japanese music company Avex Inc., have signed a multi-year extension to the two companies’ joint venture publishing partnership.
In its first year, the partnership led to multiple signings, a Billboard Hot 100 #1 with Justin Bieber’s Peaches, co-written by Harv of S10 Publishing, and more than 8 billion streams for songs published by S10 Publishing, the company says.
S10 now publishes artists such as Justin Bieber, Kid Laroi, Bad Bunny, Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, Bella Poarch, Anitta, Normani, Skrillex, 24kGoldn, John Legend, Drake, Rihanna, Future, Lil Baby, Juice WRLD and Travis Scott .
Avex USA’s activities include Avex USA Publishing, the SELENE label and the music start-up investment program Future of Music Investment Fund.
The fund made early investments in WaveXR, which also attracted investments from Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber, and hosted virtual streams with The Weeknd.
S10 is a full-service management, music publishing, recording and investment company founded by entertainment executive Brandon Silverstein with offices and studios in Los Angeles and New York.
S10 releases songs by Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, Selena Gomez, DJ Snake, Drake, Future, Lil Baby and Travis Scott, while Silverstein manages the careers of Normani and Brazilian pop star Anitta, who recently signed a global deal with Sony Music Publishing.
The partnership began when Avex expanded into the United States in April last year with the launch of Avex USA, led by President Naoki Osada.
