Saido Berahino was quick to silence an angry Stoke fan with an X-rated response following his unfortunate fate.

The 30-year-old arrived at the bet365 Stadium in 2017 with high expectations after agreeing a deal worth £15 million with West Brom.

He almost joined Tottenham just 18 months earlier after scoring 20 goals for the Baggies in the 2014/15 campaign.

But he has struggled for consistency with the Potters – finding the back of the net just five times in 56 matches.

He failed to get on the scoresheet in the Premier League for Stoke, with all his efforts coming after their relegation to the Championship.

Stoke fans have often criticized the striker due to his poor performances, with supporters commenting on his form during an open question and answer session hosted by Berahino on social media.

An X user asked the Burundian international: “Why were you so bad at Stoke?”

To what Berahino brilliantly replied saying, “It was an honest place to work.”

Another Stoke fan chimed in, where he said: “You were given time and support at Stoke, and you were still pretty awful, what did you do (or didn’t you do) specifically to whether this is the case? »

Berahino responded again, “Actually, I wasn’t horrible. Obviously I didn’t have any support from you!”

This Stoke supporter then popped up with this question: “What went wrong for you at Stoke?”

Which led Berahino to simply state: “Everything.”

Following Berahino’s departure from Stoke in 2019, his ex-teammate Glen Johnson launched a brutal attack on the striker’s character in an interview with talkSPORT.

This led to the player declaring that he was tired of being the scapegoat for Stoke’s failures.

Berahino currently plies his trade in Cyprus with AEL Limassol, but is set to become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month.
