Ryan Reynolds has revealed his wife Blake Lively was not happy when he told her he had bought Welsh football team Wrexham FC along with actor Rob McElhenney.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! On Tuesday, the 45-year-old actor said “I remember seeing Blake, 34, say, I’ve got bad news and I’ve got really bad news.” “I slipped into someone’s DMs again.
“The very bad news is that I might have bought half of a 5th tier domestic football league in Wales.”
Admitting his reaction wasn’t positive, he told McElhenney, who was the guest host, “We’re still working on that one.”

Rob: The 45-year-old actor revealed he used to slip into people’s DMs to tell them he liked them, which is how he got in touch with McElhenney, 45 .
Reynolds bought Welsh football club Wrexham with Rob in 2020 and has since filmed a documentary about the experience which will be released August 24 on FX.
Ryan shared that he first met Rob just by slipping into his DMs and it all went from there.
But their lack of knowledge about football caused David Beckham to openly mock them.
Rob showed a clip from one of the team’s last games at Wembley Stadium where a member of their team manager kicked the ball into a goal. Rob and Ryan were filmed celebrating what they thought was a goal without noticing that a referee had thrown an offside flag.
“How humiliating,” Ryan said.
Ryan joked that no one understood the offside rule. Rob said one person did it – David Beckham who was in the box during the game with them.
“We were cheering,” Rob said. “We looked at Beckham. He was just shaking his head.
