Notable items include Worcester Baseball Club Worcesters’ application for admission to the National League in 1880, as well as the letter of acceptance from the league office. There are also 19e century tobacco tins depicting the “Worcester Nine” baseball team.
Another item featured is an early 19th century American Antiquarian Society certificate signed by worcester patriot, printer and publisher Isaiah Thomas. A book about the English boxer Tom Cribb it is signed by the president Andre Jackson is also offered.
There are 700 auction lots in total, with items from worcester industrial heritage, african american racing cyclist Major Taylorbanknotes, badges, banners, campaign store giveaways, ephemera, apothecary bottles, pharmacy items and more.
