Rosie Williams reveals she had secret hair transplant after struggling with thinning locks

Rosie Williams has revealed the results of her secret hair transplant after undergoing the procedure two years ago.

The Love Island star, 30, told fans she made the decision after she no longer “recognized herself” due to “chunks of hair” falling out.

She has suffered from thinning hair and baldness due to “years of personal stress”, which has a major impact on her mental health.

She explained: “Unfortunately, over the past two years, my overall hair health has continued to deteriorate. I can only put it down to the level of stress I went through for personal reasons.

“My hair has continued to thin and I have bald patches, the hairline has completely changed shape and I don’t even recognize myself anymore.”

“What upsets me the most is that every time I wash my hair I find myself sitting on the floor in tears with bits of wet hair in my hands that have come out of my scalp and I don’t do not know why.”

The former lawyer shot to fame on the 2018 series of Love Island, where she was paired up with Adam Collard before being dumped.

She said: ‘Hair loss is not something I would wish on anyone, it has completely affected my overall happiness and confidence – and after Love Island I was blessed with a beautiful sequel on Instagram that I no longer want to share myself with because I’m so ashamed of my hair.

Rosie decided to visit renowned hair transplant surgeon and surgical director, Dr Matee Rajput, at his clinic in Manchester.

The process sees Rosie have her new hairline traced before embarking on the 22-month long journey.

The star is pictured having a cosmetic injected into her head during the procedure, where donor hair is extracted from an area and placed in the area where the hair is needed.

She went on to explain the process: “The decision to go ahead and have this surgery was not a decision I made lightly. I have done extensive research on hair loss, how to regrow your hair, hair transplants in general.

“I spoke to friends and family, but it wasn’t until I had a consultation with Dr Matee at the KSL clinic and sought expert advice that I realized that a hair transplant was an option for me.”

After the operation, Rosie gushed: “My hair looks like it’s a different person’s head.” I have never experienced growth like I have over the past 22 months.

“Before, my bangs were very short and constantly stuck out, and now they go past my chin, which is just amazing.”
