Robbie Williams surprises two superfans as he serenades them with personalized version of hit single Angels in new Richard Bacon show
Robbie Williams, 47, gave two fans the shock of their lives as he filmed for Richard Bacon’s upcoming Channel 4 game show earlier this month.
Robbie superfans Lucy and Matt Champion came face to face with their idol via video link as he serenaded them with a custom version of Angels at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, west London.
The series Silence is Golden, gives entrants the chance to win a huge cash prize, as long as they stay quiet while the celebrities scramble to provoke a reaction.

With each reaction received, a portion of their prize is channeled so that contestants must remain as poker face as possible.
The couple, who run a podcast dedicated to the Angels singer’s career, were amazed when Robbie changed the lyrics to the hit song for them.
Speaking on their Robbie Williams Rewind podcast, Lucy explained: ‘Robbie said he re-recorded the lyrics to Angels to incorporate our names. Richard tried to get a reaction but we just had to sit there.

Amy explained how difficult it was to remain silent as Robbie presented them with a photo from their wedding day.
She continued: ‘Robbie then held up a picture of us on our wedding day and asked if we wanted him to sign it and of course we weren’t allowed to say anything.
Taking to Instagram, they then explained, “We were lucky enough to be surprised by @RobbieWilliams himself last week!”

The singer has told how a contract was slapped on him at a time when he was “ridiculously famous”, as he compared his fame to that of Michael Jackson.
Robbie has opened up about how his friends were able to make the contract ‘disappear’ as he disclosed the ‘invisible’ side of being a celebrity.
He told the Mirror: “I never, ever said this, but I had a contract to kill myself. I’ve never said this publicly before. He’s gone. I have friends. This stuff, it’s the invisible stuff that happens when you become famous.
