Judy seemed totally incredulous that her husband did not remember interviewing the music legend.
Richard Madeley made a hilarious mistake on the air when he completely forgot that he had interviewed Elton John – and his wife Judy couldn’t believe it.
While the couple were talking about Elton’s recent biography, Me, on their TV show Keep reading and keep going, Richard unfortunately said that he “never had a chance to meet him”.
But moments later, Judy quickly interrupted her husband to point out that the couple had in fact interviewed the legend of “Rocketman” years ago in their Channel 4 talk show. Watch the moment above.
He admitted that he did not remember interviewing the music icon on his “Richard & Judy: Keep Reading and Keep Going” program.

“When?” Richard asks several times as Judy watches in disbelief, before adding: “Elton, in the extremely unlikely circumstances where you are watching this, I apologize for my husband not remembering.”
Stacey Dooley and Reverend Coles, who were the program’s guests, giggle while the couple discuss the forgotten talk, with Stacey jokingly, “Very memorable.”
Judy reassured Elton towards the end of the conversation, adding, “Interviewing you was one of the highlights of my life. It was fabulous.”
