Dancing With the Stars was looking to recruit Kyle Richards and his girlfriend Morgan Wade to join Mauricio Umansky on the reality series’ 32nd season this fall.
Richards, 54, and Wade, 28, declined the ABC ballroom competition offer, TMZ reported Sunday — about two months after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and Umansky, 53, announced their separation after 27 years of marriage.
Since then, Richards has been romantically involved with Wade, 28, while Umansky has been announced as a celebrity contestant on the show, with Emma Slater as his professional partner.
Richards – who remains on good terms with Umansky, as they reside in the same Southern California mansion – is currently working with Wade in Paris on a documentary about the singer’s life, the outlet reported.
On Saturday, TMZ asked Umansky if he got along well with Wade, and he replied, “I love her, yeah, she’s great.”

When asked if he would consider using any of Wade’s music for the segment on the show, Umansky said he and his partner would “figure it out as we go along,” adding that Wade had ” so many great songs to choose from.

Richards and Umansky married in January 1996 and share daughters Alexia, 27, and Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Mauricio is also the stepfather of Kyle’s daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from his first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
Richards and Umansky released a statement on Instagram on July 3 in which they denied being divorced, but did not deny their separation.
It read: “Regarding the news that was released about us today… Any claims regarding our divorce are false. But yes, we had a difficult year. The hardest part of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other immensely. There was no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.
They continued: “Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to resolve our issues in private. While it can be fun to speculate, don’t create false stories to insert another salacious narrative.
They concluded by saying, “Thank you for your love and support,” signing the letter, Kyle and Mauricio.

Bravo executive Andy Cohen told Page Six in July that the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would help explain the shocking breakup.
On his SiriusXM show Radio Andy, Cohen said the events surrounding the split would be featured in the long-running reality series.
“I mean this will be included in the next season of Beverly Hills in one way or another – that’s all I’ll say,” he said.
Insiders told Page Six last week that Bravo teams worked with the Richards family to capture the aftermath of the split and make it public: “Producers know fans want a glimpse of how Kyle and Mauricio made this decision.”
TMZ reported in July that Kyle was “dating country singer” Wade, 28, following their split, and that they “reportedly have matching heart tattoos.”

An Instagram user going by the handle @facereality16 had a theory about Richards and Wade’s budding relationship, pointing out that he subtly acknowledged their romance by wearing matching silver bracelets.
Amid speculation about Richards and Wade wearing rings, another wave of conjecture surrounded Richards and Umansky last spring after she was spotted on an outing without her wedding ring.

Umansky, appearing in April on the podcast Two T’s In a Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, said the couple was “not getting divorced.”
He insisted: “I mean, it’s so stupid. This stupid story that aired, and then the girls, you know, all decided to talk about it on Housewives, and now it’s a story.

Richards and her family came into the spotlight in 2010, when she was a main cast member on the Bravo series, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The cast also included her sister Kim Richards, Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer, Taylor Armstrong and Lisa Vanderpump.
A dozen seasons later, only Kyle remains on the popular reality series (while Vanderpump has had huge success with her own spinoff, Vanderpump Rules).
The show’s 12th season focused on Richards struggling with fragile family relationships — including with Kathy — while Umansky steadfastly supported her through this tense time.
“I’ve always supported her 100%, whatever she did,” Umansky told E! News in November.
Richards and Umansky released a joint statement calling the divorce allegations false, without directly denying claims that they are separating.

She added: “If she wants to reconcile, I’m more than willing to do that. If she’s not ready to reconcile and needs to move on for a little while, I support her one thousand percent.
The timing of the split comes about a year and a half after the duo celebrated a marital milestone with their 25th wedding anniversary.
