Authorities said the 25-year-old attacked Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, according to local reports.
Deputies were responding to demands from Spirit airline employees to remove the woman, who reportedly became furious and asked nearby passengers that she assumed she was Latino if they were smuggling cocaine. Paramedics treated the deputies at the scene, according to local news reports.
Police charged the woman with six counts of assaulting a police officer, three counts of disturbing the peace, one count of resisting arrest by force and another count of keeping after ban, according to reports. The woman was released from Jefferson Parish Correctional Center later in the day after posting $10,750 bail and is due in court on January 23.
