Report: Tottenham ace to join Champions League club, if Forest sign Brazilian southpaw – HITC – Football, Games, Movies, TV, Music

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon will only join Atletico Madrid this summer if Renan Lodi leaves – and Nottingham Forest are leading the race to land the Brazil international.

Reguilon, 25, remains completely ostracized by Antonio Conte – forced to train away from the first team. He found himself in the same position as Harry Winks. Gio Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele too, but they are now gone.

Many clubs have been linked with Reguilon this week. Forest themselves, but it looks like Atletico Madrid are leading Lazio and Fulham in the race for the former Real Madrid man. TMW says Reguilon wants Diego Simeone’s team.

However, the report states that Reguilon will only be signed by Atletico Madrid if he can offload Lodi first. The Brazil international has remained an unused substitute in Atletico’s first two La Liga games this season.

Indeed, Forest win the race for Brazil international Lodi – after missing out on Reguilon. Talks between all the clubs are ongoing – but it’s clear that Atleti will only sign Reguilon if Lodi leaves. Forest are on pole to sign Lodi.

Reguilon will only join Atletico if Lodi leaves: Forest lead race

Forest have been amazing in the window this summer. Incredible transfer buys including Jesse Lingard, Emmanuel Dennis, Neco Williams, Morgan Gibbs-White, Oriel Mangala and Lewis O’Brien.

They also got off to a good start – getting four points out of a possible nine. They have brought in a left-back in the form of Harry Toffolo, but they want another in that area. Lodi looks like a possibility.

It would be something of a coup if a Brazil international swapped the illustrious Atletico Madrid for Nottingham. But talks are ongoing and it’s a move that would see Reguilon replace him. As the report indicates, talks are ongoing.
