The Swifties sense a disruption in the sports world and believe Taylor Swift will be the next Super Bowl halftime performer.
Variety reports that rumors grew when Apple Music replaced Pepsi as the new NFL halftime sponsor. Why? This announcement was made at midnight, which fans say aligns a little too perfectly with the title of Taylor’s upcoming album.
Midnights comes out on October 21 and Taylor casually revealed the track listing via his TikTok segment.”Midnights Mayhem With Me,” where she reveals a song title every night at midnight. So far, we know the names of the eighth and thirteenth songs, “Vigilante S***” and “Mastermind”.
Variety notes that most of the artists gracing the halftime stage are soon announcing an upcoming tour, which is also perfectly timed with Taylor’s new album. Her Lover Fest, which she had planned to promote her seventh studio album, was canceled due to the pandemic – so fans think she would have been long overdue for one.
It’s also worth noting that with Pepsi leaving at halftime, Coca-Cola-sponsored Taylor can shake up the NFL without conflict.
Taylor also portrayed Apple Music, most iconic in a 2016 commercial where she fell off a treadmill while blocking for Duck.
Finally, the outlet claims that Taylor is very likely to headline the Super Bowl 2023 halftime show: “Three sources close to the situation tell Variety that’s happening.
Neither Taylor nor the NFL reacted to Varietyreport.
