Liverpool are in the running to sign Ajax starlet Ryan Gravenberch again, with Calciomercato claiming Juventus love the 19-year-old as well.
Gravenberch is one of the most exciting talents in the midfielder plying his trade in Europe at the moment. He has been a mainstay of Erik ten Hag’s squad so far this season, starting all five of their Champions League group stage games.
He has already played 80 times for the first team in Amsterdam. And it is in double digits for the selections for the Netherlands.
It looks like he could be one of Ajax’s next names facing a major fight to keep.
Calciomercato reports that Gravenberch is wanted by both Juve and Reds. It should be noted that his contract expires at the end of next season.
Liverpool have been linked with the teenager on several occasions since his emergence. It was reported over the summer, for example, that he was a potential target for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the previous window.
Of course, no movement would take place on this occasion. But it looks like the Reds have kept the door open.
Gravenberch reportedly hugely exciting and meaningful signing for Liverpool
Gravenberch may have some reservations about moving to Anfield anytime soon. Klopp currently has a number of players at, nearing or barely exceeding their prime.
But it might not be too long before Klopp has to think about refreshing those midfield options.
They certainly have brilliant talents knocking on the door. Figures such as Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott seem to have an outrageous talent. And Tyler Morton looks set to have a role to play in the coming months as well.
However, they have a bit of a way to go before they realize their full potential.
Gravenberch is more advanced in its development. So he would be a hugely exciting addition if Liverpool could finally bring him to Merseyside.
