BUFFALO, NY — The Bills’ injury bug continues to spread, this time at wide receiver.
Slot machine receiver Jamison Crowder has a broken foot and should be placed on the injured reserve, coach Sean McDermott said Monday.
Crowder was injured in the Bills’ 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on a punt return. He was carried off the pitch with his left leg in an overhead cast. Crowder was on crutches after Sunday’s game.
Signed by the Bills as a free agent this offseason, Crowder has six receptions for 60 yards. Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie won the battle of slot receivers in training camp, but Crowder has always been a big part of the offense.
McKenzie suffered a concussion in the win over Baltimore, while wide receiver Jake Kumerow has an ankle injury. Tavon Austin is a wide receiver on the team’s practice squad.
