Refreshed Porsche Cayenne spied with almost no camouflage

After numerous spy photo galleries, we know a refreshed Porsche Cayenne is on the way, but the photos in this gallery are our best look yet. The only camouflage is the decal around the headlights and the partial coverage of the taillights. There are looks at the range-topping Turbo GT and a lesser model.

Up front, the updated Cayenne has a more open nose with thin slats. The redesigned headlights look a little thinner and no longer have the rounded triangular shape of the existing vehicle. The lamps also seem to have a more upright position, giving the refreshed crossover a muscular look.

At the rear, the taillights look even narrower than the current design. They now have a uniform height, rather than having a thicker notch on the outer section.

Although not visible in these photos, the updated Cayenne has a significantly revised cabin. The dash now protrudes past the infotainment screen and there’s a small shelf below. Next to the steering wheel, there’s a blocky shifter that’s similar in design to the 992-generation 911, but in a different location.

With the gearshift in a new location, the Cayenne got a revised center console. A storage locker sits at the base, and there’s also a row of toggle switches in front of the cupholders.

We don’t have any official information about the refreshed Cayenne yet. Rumor has it that the 2.9-liter V6 and 4.0-liter V8 are more powerful. The PHEV would also have some updates.

Look for the refreshed Cayenne which will be available for the 2023 model year. There are no details yet on the exact date of the unveiling. It’s also unclear whether the standard body and coupe would premiere at the same time.

Porsche is working on a larger electric crossover to fit on top of the upcoming Macan EV. Currently, it’s unclear whether this vehicle would be a Cayenne EV or at least occupy that spot in the lineup. The electric model is still several years away.
