Real Madrid vs Inter Milan: what was said?
Carlo Ancelotti has expressed the importance of securing first place in the group tonight during his pre-match press conference.
He said: “I can’t say if we’re favorites or not. I can tell you that we will compete with all these teams because of the quality that we have.
“That’s it, so we have to wait and see because if you want to win this competition you have to play against the best teams in the world.
“If your goal is to go all the way in this competition, it doesn’t make a lot of difference whether you meet a strong team or not in the round of 16 or quarter-finals, you have to compete.
“I don’t know if we are going to win or not, but we are going to compete.”
Ancelotti added: “We play against a team that is playing very well and then we play for the first place, that’s important.
“Third, we play at home with our fans.
“These are three important reasons to watch the game which I think will be interesting.”
