Xavi’s side currently hold a five-point advantage over defending champions Spain and Europe, who are winless in their last two games.

The two sides met just three weeks ago in the Supercopa semi-final in Saudi Arabia, which Barca won on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
The win means Barcelona have now won seven of the last eight meetings between the two, which always seem to produce plenty of goals – the last 10 games between the two sides have produced an average of 4.9 goals per game.
