Scheffler stormed to glory at Augusta on Sunday, ignoring the chasing pack to collect his second green jacket.

He will now look to add another big trophy to his growing collection while Rory McIlroy will also be in Hilton Head after his disappointing Masters week.

England’s Matt Fitzpatrick won this event last year, beating Jordan Spieth in the play-offs.

RBC Heritage: What did we say?

Masters champion Scheffler has warned his rivals he will continue to fight for big titles despite soon becoming a father.

Scheffler’s wife Meredith is expected to give birth to their first child in the coming weeks.

Scheffler said: “I’m definitely not going to intentionally take my eyes off the ball.

“My priorities will change soon. My son or daughter will be the main priority, along with my wife, so golf will probably be fourth.

“But I still love competing. I don’t plan on taking my eyes off the ball anytime soon, that’s for sure. I feel like I’m playing really good golf right now.

“I feel like I’m in control of my emotions like I’ve never been, which is a good place to be. I feel like I’m maturing as a person on the golf course, which is a good place to be.”
