Google is now working with iWedia to provide a premium licensed live TV app, giving TV brands the choice to deliver what partners say is greater value and a superior user experience to their customers.
In addition to basic features such as an EPG guide, channel list and parental controls, the Live TV app will offer major new features when it launches, including branding options for TV brands, with customizable look and feel; user-friendly design and navigation; seamless integration with Google TV’s Live TV tab; voice control with Google Assistant. Rich metadata is an optional add-on, and the development roadmap also includes deep links to streaming services.

The app will also be made available as part of efforts to evolve the Android TV operating system to set-top box vendors targeting specific retail markets in Europe. .
